Crohn's disease is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that may affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract. Signs and symptoms often include abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, and weight loss, and possible bowel obstruction. Other complications may occur outside the gastrointestinal tract and include anemia, skin rashes, arthritis, and tiredness. Crohn's disease is caused by a combination of environmental, immune and bacterial factors in genetically susceptible individuals. It results in a chronic inflammatory disorder, in which the body's immune system attacks the gastrointestinal tract possibly directed at microbial antigens.
Complex Brain Surgery Experience: Patient's Perspective!
Patient describes his experience with complex growing brain tumor and his surgery performed by Dr. Farhad Limonadi, MD who is a neurosurgeon at Desert Spine and Neuroscience Institute at Rancho Mirage, CA.
Please note that most patients can get excellent care by neurosurgeons locally as American Board of Neurological Surgeons (ABNS) does a great job overlooking training of neurosurgeons in the U.S. So you really don't have to travel far, as it is often best to stay near your loved ones going through such an experience.
For a list of local neurosurgeons go to ABNS Website at: www.abns.org or simply call them.
